C3: A Competitive, Credible and Confident Social Economy
24 August 2005

Funded by the European Union EQUAL programme from 2004 to 2007 this project aims to develop tools and pilot new models that support a wide range of social economy business advice and development organisations, to build in key elements of performance improvement, and quality management approaches into their work. This will enable the sector to become more credible and competitive, leading to a fuller and more confident engagement in wider market opportunities. The approach will be developed throughout the West of England. A Guide To Loans For Social Enterprise
16 February 2004

This is the second edition of the guide, which BACEN have produced in partnership with the Social Economy Bristol Development Project (SEBDP). The guide brings together information on loans and other forms of community finance that are particularly suitable for community businesses and social enterprises. The new guide is quite different to the previous edition and we hope that it will provide practical support as well as inspiration for social entrepreneurs in the West of England.
